The subconscious mind is one of the most powerful tools in our lives. However, like any other tool in our lives, we can use it for our benefit or just waste it if we don’t know how to use it. It is one of the most important keys to success and is also one of the most common causes of unhappiness in the world today. The subconscious mind also controls most of your bodily reactions and metabolism. Breathing, blinking, digestion, walking, emotions, etc. are functions that are carried out subconsciously.
It triggers your body, emotions, and metabolism to respond the way it does during real danger. This is a simplified explanation of how people develop fears and phobias, by creating associations of danger with whatever they are afraid of. Similarly, if you had traumatic experience involving water, it is possible that each time you are near water your subconscious would replay this experience like an internal recording. We don’t have to think about blinking in a sandstorm anymore than we have to remember to shiver when it is cold.
There are many ways to ensure your subconscious mind adopts the affirmations as truths without a hint of conflict. This will assure an immense change in your lives.
1. Repetition. Simple repetition of your affirmations three to four times a day for five minutes is a great start. Saying your affirmations while looking in a mirror helps to charge them up, as you have an additional sense (the image of you) attached to the affirmation.
2. Belief. Start believing in yourself and your abilities. Back yourself in a variety of situations and start stepping up to the plate. You cannot expect to change situations in your life if you cannot back yourself fully. Especially in situations where other people are involved, how can people believe in you if YOU don’t believe in you?
3. Take 10 minutes each and every day to write down and immerse yourself in your goals, hopes and dreams. If they are truly what you want then this activity will not be a burden it will be a pleasant experience as you are honing in on what you truly want in your life.
4. Use technology to enhance your ability to program your subconscious mind in a fun and fast way. Record your affirmations onto your iPod or phone and listen to them while you fall asleep, create a digital vision board or listen to meditations.
So, ready to power-up?
I decided to see what people other than Carnegie have to say about self help and the effects positive attitude. This book showed up after some browsing because of its great reviews.
The subconscious mind training book, Mind Secrets Exposed 2.0, seeks to explain what our subconscious mind is, and how we can use it to help us solve various problems in our lives – problems with health, finances, spouses, and friends. A pretty go-getting goal.
The cover and the editorial mention almost nothing about religion. “Now you too, can learn these powerful techniques for changing your life simply by changing your beliefs”.
Did you know that often the difference between success and failure is the ability to train your mind to focus on achieving your goals and not focus on problems? It’s been proven by researchers and by some of the most successful people in the world. By getting your mind to focus and concentrate on success – so that it finds solutions instead of focusing on the problems is usually the difference between success and failure.
But how do you do this? I’m about to show you.
I’ll outline the importance of training your mind, how to start directing your conscious mind and subconscious mind, and how to keep your mind focused so that you constantly achieve your goals and live the life you want.
So read on and enjoy!
Why you need to train your mind? Disciplining your mind so that it is focused on your goals is crucial to your success. If your mind is not trained to focus on and achieve your goals then you really have little chance of success. Your mind is a direct link to your subconscious mind. So if your mind is focused on your goals and is trained to achieve those goals then your subconscious mind will also be focused on those goals and will attract the situations and opportunities for you to achieve the success you want. It’s really that simple. The minute you get distracted for a prolonged period – you lose sight of your objective and fail to accomplish those goals.
In order for to enjoy success – the mind has to be regularly focused on your goals – you can’t stay focused for short bursts and expect to get results. Think of it this way, you’re riding in a car driven by your personal driver and every time your driver asks you where you want to go you simply say: “I don’t know. Where ever you want to go is fine with me.” Then when your driver takes you to the place of his choice you complain and say: “I don’t want to be here, take me somewhere else.” And again you say you don’t know where you want to go.
Can you see the confusion you would create? Can you see how you would never get to where you want to go because you haven’t trained your driver to automatically take you where you want to go. You haven’t given him the proper instructions.
Your mind and subconscious mind work the same way.
If you don’t train your mind to focus on your goals then your subconscious mind cannot create the situations that will help you achieve those goals. When you keep changing your mind, when you are not clear on what you want – your subconscious gets confused – and you end up exactly where you don’t want to be. Let’s go back to the example of your personal driver. Wouldn’t it be a lot easier and more comfortable if you told your driver where you wanted to go – or even better – your driver knew where you wanted to go ahead of time? But that will only happen when you train your driver by repeatedly telling him where you want to go on a regular basis. Your subconscious mind is your driver. Your subconscious gets its instructions from the mind – in the form of your thoughts and beliefs. Give your subconscious the right instructions and it will take you where ever you want to go in life.
So how do you get your mind to change? How do you train your mind? Click here for a detailed guide.
The first step is to get the mind to stop doing what it is used to doing – or break the pattern that you’ve been following for so long. This will require some effort – but the reward will allow you to live the life you want and enjoy the level of success that you want.
To re-train your mind and direct your subconscious mind you start by paying more attention – so that when you see yourself getting distracted and not following up on things that you wanted to do – you take a step to break the pattern. You can break the pattern by doing something else. For example: you can start following up on what you had planned to do, you can create a list and follow up with it regularly to see if you are on track.
Finally it seems a lot of people have come to believe that they just don’t have the time to achieve their goals. If you are one of the many who have such a belief then you’ve really convinced yourself that your goals are not worthy of your time. Because if they were you would make the time for them. I’m not talking about spending an entire day or even a few hours. It’s only a few minutes at different intervals. Why try to get everything crammed into one hour? Why not try to think about your goals at different intervals during the day? For example: you may have a few minutes while you’re taking a walk – think of your achieving your goals. You could also do this while you’re taking a shower, driving, walking, anytime. Here’s a suggestion; the next time you are driving or taking a shower, pay attention to your thoughts. Are these thoughts actually working for your or against you? Would it be better to focus on your goals or keep recycling the negative clutter or junk in your head? The choice is yours – and taking action is really about taking a small step.
You don’t need to spend hours meditating. Even if you simply mediated for 5 or 10 minutes a day you’d be able to increase your ability to concentrate and focus by a 100-percent within a matter of days! Do it for weeks or months and you’ll have dramatic results.

Before going through the subconscious mind training book, let’s venture into the significance of your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is just like a massive recall bank. Its capability is practically unlimited and limitless. It lastingly stores everything that ever comes about to you. At the age of 21, you’ have already accumulated more than one hundred times the contents and images of the entire Encyclopedia Britannica permanently. Under trance, older people can often commit to memory, with perfect clarity, events from fifty years before. Your unconscious memory is virtually best. It is your conscious recall that is suspect.
Think of the subconscious mind as the storage room of everything that is currently not in your conscious mind. The powers of subconscious mind stores all of your previous life experiences, your beliefs, your thoughts, you abilities, all situations you’ve been through and all photographs you’ve ever seen.
To understand more, think of a subconscious mind training. The best way to understand the mind is to look at the example of the person who wants to learn how to drive a car. At the beginning, he wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with anyone while driving as he would be focusing on the different moves involved. That’s because he’s still using his conscious mind to drive. This is unfortunate, for your subconscious mind can and should be a great ally in achieving success in your life. All your habits of thinking and acting are stored in your subconscious mind. It has committed to memory all your comfort zones and it works to keep you in them. Tip. Read books about subconscious mind.
All you need do is to set up a working relationship with your subconscious mind. In order to do this, one must become conscious and familiar with this hidden, mysterious aspect of us, and the role it plays in our life. In other words, mind power.
Your subconscious mind causes you to feel emotionally and physically uncomfortable whenever you attempt and try to do anything completely new or different, or to change any of your established patterns of behaviour. For you to mature, to get out of your comfort zone, you have to be willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable doing new things the first few times. Also, have some
If it’s worth doing well, it’s worth doing poorly until you get a feel for it, until you develop a new comfort zone at a new, increased level of competence. One of the ways we can do this is by reinforcing to ourselves for several minutes each day, “My subconscious mind is my partner in success.” By doing this we are re-educating ourselves as to the fact that we have got a second powerful mind, and that it is our partner in accomplishment.
